Quartet No. 8, Movement 2 by Dmitri Shostakovish is arranged for four guitars.  This Advanced-level piece has an extended range to Gb/F#, first string, fourteenth fret and has many, many accidentals.  The rhythms appear to be quite simple, mostly half notes and quarter notes.  And there are many tuplets.  The extremely fast tempo is what makes this piece so very challenging.   This is ideal for Year 4, Quarter 4.
