Single-Note-Seventh Position for Advanced Students

Single-Note-Seventh Position for Advanced Students

$30.00Price

Single-string studies is an important part of guitar education.  Students frequently learn note reading and note placement through playing single-string studies.

All students now know all of the notes in first, fifth and second positions.  It is time to extend the playing range of the guitar.  There is no better way to extend the playing range than by introducing the seventh position.  This method teaches the sevemth position in a similar approach to teaching first, fifth and second positions, using many of the same songs learned in year one.

This approach has been tested repeatedly with advanced middle and high school students.  The guitar class as a whole will become better at ensemble playing as students extend their playing range and learn the seventh position.
